I wrote my first short story at age 7. It was about a car who was alive. It could fly, for some reason it wore a cape (why?!), and, of course, it fought crime. The piece was titled after its hero, “Super Car.” I even illustrated the story. Here is a recreation of the main character.
Over the years, I learned it’s best to write stories that are at least a little more original. Since that first story, I’ve been telling my stories through short fiction, film, theater, and novels.
Raised in the south, I now live in Brooklyn, NY, with my wife, our dog, and more yarn than is socially acceptable.
